For theVinitaly and the City 2019Fuori Salone event, in the vibrant heart of Verona, we created “Grapes of Light” a massivearchitectural video mappingproject that transformed the historic façade of the Loggia di Fra’ Giocondo in Piazza dei Signori into a dynamic digital canvas.

For one night, the waters of the Adige River seemed to flow between the windows of the building, culminating in a spectacular virtual waterfall that enveloped the Renaissance architecture. Through complex illusions of light and shadow and3D animations, we celebrated the transformation of wine—the undisputed star of the event—intertwining it with the monumental beauty of Verona and the elegance of its piazzas.

Aelion oversaw the video production and 3D design, working closely with an exceptional team: Marcello Pontalto (technical director), Alessandro Formenti of Doc Servizi (production director), and Alessandra Biti and Rolen Guzman Flores of Studioventisette (artistic director).
