In 2016, Aelion curated the visuals forHello Kinki, the Friday house event at Bologna’s historicKinki Club. The challenge was to revitalize the identity of a city landmark through a cutting-edge video mapping installation, transforming the interior architecture into a dynamic and futuristic environment, in keeping with the club’s creative vocation.

For this series of events, we designed ascenography composed of pyramidal geometric modules, chosen for their ability to create depth and refract light in complex ways. The installation was illuminated with a wide-angle video projector, leveraging the power ofHeavyMsoftware. Our summer research with this tool in 2016 allowed us to push geometric mapping to the limit, integrating custom 3D content, reactive lighting effects, and synchronized motion graphics.

The technical quality and originality of the project led us towin the award for best video mappingat theHeavyMProjection Mapping Contestin 2017. This international recognition confirmed Aelion as a benchmark in the creation of innovative digital scenography for the entertainment sector.
